No wins for the Foxes in the past eight matches means that relegation from the Premier League is a virtual certainty. Leicester have only won twice in the top flight since that sunny autumn day where they beat Manchester United 5-3 in a match which suggested City’s prospects of survival were strong.

Since then, things have largely gone downhill and that 4-3 reverse at White Hart Lane leaving them needing a big bundle of points from their remaining eight matches to stand any chance of finishing above three other teams in the league.

How does Nigel Pearson approach this game? The last few matches at the King Power Stadium have been dull affairs, with a goalless draw against Hull following on from 1-0 reverses at home to Stoke and Crystal Palace.

A draw would be no good in this game although West Ham kept things tight when beating Sunderland 1-0 last time out, with a late Diafra Sakho effort ensuring that Sam Allardyce’s team won their first game in nine matches.

The pressure is off the Hammers for their trip to the Midlands, with Leicester the team having to take the bull by the horns, although two wins from thirteen games in front of their own supporters is supplemented by the fact they have scored just eight times aside from that goalfest against United.

Let’s go for a low goal count in this match and the possibility of a goalless draw rears it’s ugly head.
