When Liverpool were having it tough earlier in the season, Brendan Rodgers always insisted that the Reds had a chance of making the top four of the Premier League.

Critics scoffed but the team have started to click in 2015 and they have kept pace with Arsenal and Manchester United after grinding out a 1-0 win at the Liberty Stadium on Monday.

No European involvement means they can fully prepare for a crucial clash on Sunday against a United team who are not getting many plaudits despite sitting fourth in the table.

We’re keen to oppose Louis van Gaal’s team on the basis that they have only won four away games in the Premier League all season, even if they did produce a fine performance to beat Tottenham last weekend.

Liverpool are churning out clean sheets at the moment and will be confident of snuffing out Wayne Rooney and Marouane Fellaini, while Steven Gerrard is likely to return at the expense of Joe Allen, with Philippe Coutinho, Adam Lallana and Jordan Henderson impossible to lodge in their current form.

United may well pitch up looking to make their point although they should be overrun by a slick Liverpool team.
