Eddie Howe will surely care little for the League Cup this season considering Bournemouth have suffered injuries to key players and are also scrapping to stay in the Premier League.

Wednesday’s trip to Anfield will see a much-changed Cherries team take to the field, with the bookies making them the rank outsiders to beat a Liverpool team who have yet to lose a match since Jurgen Klopp took charge.

They are also yet to win a game after three successive draws although this could be the game where Klopp breaks his duck, even with a few changes of his own made.

We’re likely to see Roberto Firmino starting this match after coming off the bench against Southampton, while Jordon Ibe, Joe Allen and Kolo Toure are also likely to get the nod as the Reds look to reach the quarter final stage of the competition.

It’s early days for Liverpool although Klopp will want to get a win under his belt as quickly as possible and enjoy a confidence-booster going into Saturday’s lunchtime encounter at Stamford Bridge.
