Anyone who watched Liverpool’s defending at Carrow Road on Saturday lunchtime might be loathe to back the Reds at odds-on to win this clash.

Yes, Jurgen Klopp’s team won after an amazing match which ended 5-4 to the visitors, although they way in which Norwich were allowed to score four times illustrates that the Liverpool defence is certainly vulnerable without Martin Skrtel and Dejan Lovren.

Stoke lost the first leg clash 1-0 and need to come out and attack their opponents on Tuesday night, with Mark Hughes’ side coming off the back of a 3-0 reverse at the King Power Stadium.

However, the game plan was slightly different on Saturday in that Stoke would have been pleased with a point, although a draw is clearly no good at Anfield.

Marko Arnautovic should return to the team for this clash, with the Austrian a key player for the Potters and Hughes hopes he can make a real difference.

“Hopefully he will be fit, yes. We’ll check him again,” said Hughes.

“He hadn’t trained all week and had only taken part in parts of the sessions so it was too much of a risk. Hopefully he’ll benefit from the rest he had and be back firing on Tuesday.

“Marko we missed [on Saturday] because of his pace and power and ability to be able to retain the ball at the top end. We missed his influence but he’s had an issue with his hamstring.

“It was a close call but in fairness I don’t think it would have made a difference to the result because we needed to offer a lot more.”

Liverpool boss Klopp will have been delighted to see Roberto Firmino start to make a bigger impact, with Adam Lallana also bright against the Canaries and we’re predicting goals being scored rather than hazard a guess at the right outcome.
