Unless you’re Joe Hart, then life under Pep Guardiola has been pretty sweet for the Manchester City players, with the team now enjoying six straight victories in all competitions.

A 2-1 victory at Old Trafford on Saturday was achieved without the suspended Sergio Aguero and also with a liability between the sticks, with Claudio Bravo struggling to adjust to the derby and regularly making mistakes.

Guardiola will hope it is just teething problems for a keeper who was brought in for his quick feet and ability to come out of the box to make interceptions, although the manager will also be delighted that Aguero is back in the fold.

The Argentine is currently serving a domestic ban but six goals in his opening four games paints its own story, with the 28-year-old likely to be firing on all cylinders against German opponents who arrive after a 3-1 defeat away to Freiburg.

In fairness to Monchengladbach, they won their opening four games and scored nine goals against Young Boys over two games to ensure their spot in the Champions League group stage.

Indeed, the worry for the visitors is that they have kept just one clean sheet so far this season although they’re clearly a side full of goals and attacking intent.

Unfortunately, that might play into the hands of a City side who are likely to be catapulting forward and we’re likely to see Raheem Sterling, Kevin De Bruyne and David Silva having a field day.

However, Signor Aguero could be the biggest beneficiary of all and we’re happy to back him for first goal and a cheeky bet on him managing a hat-trick.
