Manchester United simply don’t care too much about Tuesday night’s rearranged match, with Manchester City landing the point they needed on Sunday as their rivals’ fixture with Bournemouth was postponed due to a phony bomb scare.

Louis van Gaal is already thinking ahead to Saturday’s FA Cup final before bowing out at Old Trafford and the Dutchman will go down as a failure irrespective of whether United manage to get the better of Crystal Palace.

Similarly, Bournemouth have not been playing with the same level of intensity as they managed earlier in the season when accruing the points required to stay in the division.

Since beating Swansea 3-2, the Cherries have lost five of their past seven matches and their only win came against an Aston Villa side who have disgraced themselves this term.

The Bournemouth squad expected to be on holiday right now so you can imagine their motivation levels will be modest for this encounter and United will field a weakened side.

Before a recent 1-1 draw against West Brom, the previous eight Cherries matches featured three or more goals. So a tentative bet is recommended on that happening, with United likely to run in a few goals and we wouldn’t even rule out a 4-2 correct scoreline.
