Jose Mourinho will have been an interested spectator in Russia this summer, although he’s also witnessed several of his Manchester United players going deep into the tournament.

Romelu Lukaku and Marouane Fellaini are both involved with Belgium, while Paul Pogba has been a first team regular in a France shirt and there have also been appearances by Ashley Young, Jesse Lingard and Marcus Rashford for England.

It’s likely that all of the above will be missing in this opener, although this should be offset by the fact that Leicester will also be without several key players including Harry Maguire and Jamie Vardy.

It also appears that Riyad Mahrez is going to leave at long last, with Manchester City thought to be waving the £60 million in the direction of the Foxes, although Leicester will relish going to Old Trafford at an early stage.

The Midlands side were narrowly beaten by Arsenal in their opener last season and they have been busy this summer, with Jonny Evans, Ricardo Pereira and James Maddison all arriving at the King Power Stadium.

It’s probable that Kasper Schmeichel will be between the sticks against his father’s former club, with Alexis Sanchez likely to be the trickiest customer who is lining up for United.

You can get Leicester at 4/5 with a +1.5 goal start which means that they can afford to lose by a single goal in order for the bet to win. I’m sure United will simply be happy to get the three points in this match and move on.
