Bradford City can land victory on Friday night as they look to keep their promotion hopes alive

Bradford have enjoyed excellent form at Valley Parade recently although they threw away a 1-0 lead to lose 3-1 against Millwall, thus giving themselves the proverbial mountain to climb on Friday night.

The Bantams need to win the game by two goals to force extra-time and Phil Parkinson will have drawn confidence from the way in which Brighton and Derby battled hard in the Championship after suffering defeats in their first leg clashes.

While Millwall are warm favourites to go through to Wembley after that first leg win, they are placed in that difficult position of having to protect a lead.

And no matter how much Neil Harris tries to brief his side to stay strong and look to get goals of their own, City’s need is greater and they look a good bet to win this one in ninety minutes.

If James Hanson is fit for the clash, then it improves the Bantams’ chances of landing a victory at The Den, with Millwall not boasting the most impressive of form at home this season.

Indeed, the Lions have lost seven times in front of their own fans, although they have now won their past five matches and there is plenty to like about a front line featuring Lee Gregory and Steve Morison.

Even so, Bradford have to go for broke in this game and the return of Hanson could be a welcome boost for a side who look much better with their main striker featuring.
