Let’s face it, backing Newcastle United to win any match this season is not a particularly good idea. Aside from a League Cup win against Northampton, the Magpies have failed to get a victory on the board.

Will this change against Norwich on Sunday? Probably not, with Alex Neil’s side having avoided defeat in three of their four away games to date, including a trip to Anfield where they drew 1-1.

The Canaries are doing pretty well since promotion through the play-offs last term and they haven’t suffered consecutive defeats this term, suggesting that they will get at least a point against Newcastle.

The home side are missing Tim Krul for the rest of the season and Steve McClaren has been keen to play up the loss of the Dutchman which seems strange on his part.

Newcastle have been pretty good going forward in recent matches, serving it up to Chelsea and taking a 2-0 lead, while they were also in front at the Etihad after a bright opening spell.

However, it is clear that United aren’t able to sustain the required level of performance and Norwich have the players to cause some damage.

Nathan Redmond and Wes Hoolahan are having particularly good seasons and we reckon Norwich will come away with another draw.
