Karl Robinson was unable to keep MK Dons in the Championship last season and it’s been a tricky start to life back in League One, although Milton Keynes have been pretty strong on the road.

1-0 triumphs have occurred at Shrewsbury and Rochdale, while the Dons took Reading to penalties in the League Cup before losing on penalties.

Therefore, odds of 2/1 about the visitors winning at the Sixfields Stadium look reasonably attractive considering that Northampton were two divisions apart from their opponents last season and are yet to taste victory this time around.

Chris Wilder did a wonderful job with the Cobblers last term, although Robert Page has found him a difficult act to follow, with an amazing run of seven draws ending as Northampton lost at home to Wycombe in the FL Trophy.

We can draw a line through that result but there have been a distinct lack of goals and the Dons might secure yet another 1-0 away win on the road.
