Manchester City are clearly a better team on paper than Norwich although 8/13 about a side who have won just five of thirteen Premier League away matches seems a touch skinny.

City are still theoretically chasing the title, although they were trounced 3-0 at Anfield in their last away match and we can hardly read anything into a facile 4-0 home victory against a doomed Aston Villa side.

Manuel Pellegrini continues to have an eye on the Champions League where Dynamo Kiev wait in the wings for a second leg clash, with the Chilean without the services of Yaya Toure for this clash.

Toure might split opinion but City are a more potent attacking force with the egotistical one in the middle of the park, while Norwich are not complete mugs at Carrow Road.

They have avoided defeat in eight of their fourteen games at home, with Alex Neil needing his team to turn things round quickly after losing nine and drawing one of their past ten matches.

Let’s not forget they led West Ham 2-0 before the Hammers produced a spirited comeback, while defeats against Leicester, Chelsea and Swansea were all by a single goal.

The recent match at the Liberty Stadium could have gone either way, with Neil remaining confident that his side can emerge from their slump and stay up against the odds.
