Michael Dods is another in-form trainer and his OCEAN SHERIDAN must take all the beating under a penalty for his win over course and distance six days ago, with the official winning margin of one and a half lengths not doing justice to his superiority. Only once out of the first four in 11 career starts, the three-year-old is open to further progress and looks potentially well in here on a mark of 73, with a big hike in the weights imminent.

They’ve had plenty of rain in this part of the world and the ground is likely to be riding on the soft side of good. That’s not a problem at all as both the selection’s wins have come on ground with plenty of cut in it, whereas it might inconvenience some of his rivals. The best of these may be Keith Dalgleish’s Chookie’s Lass, who finished runner-up over 5f at Monday (on soft) and rarely runs a bad race. She wouldn’t be as well treated as the selection, though.
