Scotland’s hopes of making the Euro 2016 finals next summer were dealt a blow after losing 1-0 in Georgia, with Gordon Strachan’s side now sitting fourth in Group D.

Picking up four points from matches against Republic of Ireland appeared to have the Scots in a great position to make the play-offs as a minimum although the 1-0 reverse in Tbilisi means getting some kind of result on Monday night is surely required.

The opposition couldn’t be more fearsome, with Germany in the groove with a return of sixteen points from seven games played. They enjoyed a 3-1 win over Poland on Friday and are starting to gain some momentum after a sluggish start to qualifying.

Joachim Löw continues to take charge of Die Mannschaft and we expect Germany to simply outclass a team made up of players from the bottom rungs of the Premier League and also the Championship.

Strachan has done pretty well to get a tune out of this Scotland side although the lack of quality should see them suffer against a side that features the impressive Manuel Neuer between the sticks, with Toni Kroos, Mario Gotze and Thomas Muller also star talents within the squad.

We’re expecting a comprehensive win for a German side who might have only narrowly beaten Scotland in the reverse fixture but seem back to the well-oiled machine that won the World Cup.
