OK so those who have been backing Chelsea this season will have done their dough too many times to consider a punt on the champions on Saturday night.

But the bottom line is that the squad of players are still blessed with tonnes of quality, with Nemanja Matic starting to return to form and it’s worth noting that Chelsea were the better team in a recent Capital One Cup clash.

That game ended 1-1 with Stoke winning on penalties, although Pedro is now back for the Blues and they could get the better of the Potters, even with Jose Mourinho nowhere to be seen thanks to his stadium ban.

Chelsea’s players have been making all the right noises this week, with Cesc Fabregas and John Terry among those backing their manager and insisting that there is unity within the squad.

Stoke have won just one Premier League match at the Britannia Stadium and that was against a struggling Bournemouth team, with Watford the latest team to land three points.

If Watford can beat this modest team, then Chelsea should have the beating of them and we’re taking the Blues at odds-against.
