The bookies have this one down as a potential procession for Chelsea on Sunday, although the London side have had a few rubs of the green to reach nine points already.

Diego Costa continues to be a liability. The Spanish international could have seen red against West Ham and Watford before scoring late winners against both teams.

Indeed, Chelsea were heading for a 1-1 draw against the Hammers and a 1-0 defeat against the Hornets before scoring late goals and they might not have things their own way against the Swans.

Francesco Guidolin’s side may have lost their first game at the Liberty to Hull, although they had the lion’s share of possession and served it up to the Tigers only to be sucker-punched at the end of the match.

Leroy Fer has enjoyed a scoring start with two goals under his belt and Modou Barrow has thrived from a wide position, bunging in crosses from the right side and hoping that Fer or Fernando Llorente gets on the end of them.

It remains to be seen whether Llorente will thrive in a white shirt, although the former Sevilla man could also benefit from a supply line coming from Gylfi Sigurdsson who continues to be a smooth midfield operator.

Chelsea clearly have the better team on paper, with Eden Hazard looking interested and N’Golo Kante relishing this sort of game where he can break up the home team’s play and turn it into possession for the visitors.

However, whether the champions of 2014/15 can reproduce that sort of form instantaneously under Conte is a different matter and we’d rather be with the draw.
