There was little between these teams in the final standings last season and the same should apply this time around, with Stoke and Swansea likely to end up in the middle of the table.

Mark Hughes’ team had a slow start to the campaign, waiting until 22 September for their first victory although a Capital One Cup win in Fulham kick-started consecutive Premier League triumphs over Bournemouth and Aston Villa.

The Stoke defence is starting to get stingy again and the visitors are probably overpriced against a team who have failed to win any of their last five matches.

Garry Monk’s side enjoyed a great start after drawing at Chelsea and then recording home wins over Newcastle and Manchester United.

However, the Welsh side have taken just two points from their last four league games and also went out of the League Cup at Hull.

Bafetimbi Gomis has failed to find the net since the end of August, with the manager short of alternative attacking options, even if Andre Ayew has been a bright addition to the Swans squad.

At the prices, you have to favour Stoke who are clearly going to be difficult to score against. Even without the injured Ryan Shawcross, there is plenty to like about the way in which the Potters are defending, with Jack Butland one of the safest pair of hands in the Premier League.
