Six games ago, West Ham were flying in the Premier League. Wins over Crystal Palace and Chelsea had the Hammers in the Champions League spots, although a winless run of six matches have followed.

Slaven Bilic has steadied the ship after defeats at Watford and Tottenham, with the team going back to basics defensively. A 1-1 draw against West Brom has been followed by goalless draws against Manchester United and Stoke City.

It might be boring fare for the supporters right now, although James Tomkins and James Collins are running a tight ship at the moment, although it’s clear that Dimitri Payet and Diafra Sakho are two big misses for this team.

Nevertheless, West Ham have enough to get at least a point at the Liberty Stadium on Sunday. Swansea are woefully short to win this match based on recent form and the fact that Huw Jenkins is still searching for a successor to Garry Monk.

The Swans have lost five of their previous six matches. The only draw came against Bournemouth where the Cherries took a 2-0 lead before the Welsh side clawed things back thanks to a cameo from Andre Ayew.

A 2-1 reverse at Manchester City last weekend saw Swansea nearly nab a point although they couldn’t close the game out after scoring a late equaliser and that reflects the lack of composure that the team have defensively right now.

Swansea struggle to score goals at home this term, having managed eight in as many games and the Hammers can keep things tight. A low goal count seems to be the way forward.
