Betting Tip: Top Tug @ 9/2 with bet365

This is a tough handicap to solve and TOP TUG is the selection based more on his trainer Sir Michael Stoute than anything else. The Newmarket handler has won the last two runnings of this race with Sir John Hawkwood (2013) and Arab Spring last year. The latter turned out to be Group class and I doubt his stablemate will turn out to be quite so good. That said, he’s lightly-raced after just seven starts, winning twice, and he would have found the ground too firm on his reappearance at Newmarket. He’s reportedly been working well at home since and has given the impression he’ll be suited by this longer trip – we’ll find out later and the available 9/2 (bet365) is just about big enough to warrant a bet.

The other one that caught my eye was Mark Johnston’s NOTARISED who is a gutsy front-running sort and wasn’t beaten far into third at Hamilton last time. He’s each-way material at bet365’s 14/1.
