Jurgen Klopp cut a satisfied figure as Liverpool steamrollered Burton on Tuesday night, although a sterner test awaits them on Saturday lunchtime.

A trip to White Hart Lane won’t be easy, even if the Reds have already claimed three points in north London courtesy of an opening win at the Emirates after a four-goal salvo in the space of twenty minutes.

Liverpool rode their luck against Arsenal after being given the run around during a one-sided first half, with Spurs likely to be merciless should chances be presented their way although it’s worth noting that Tottenham toiled against Crystal Palace last week.

Indeed, the Eagles were handling everything thrown their way before Harry Kane’s header from a corner found its way to Victor Wanyama and Klopp will be looking for his side to be defensively tight in this clash.

Joel Matip might be preferred over Ragnar Klavan, with Sadio Mane coming back into the side after featuring against Burton, while Daniel Sturridge might have to contend with a place on the bench.

Tottenham will be wary of the counter-attacking threat posed by Liverpool, although they have conceded just the one goal in their two opening matches and that was a Ross Barkley bouncing free-kick that eluded everyone on it’s way in.

The teams served up a goalless draw in this fixture last season and that could happen again this time around, although we’re happy to back the draw and also cover the 1-1, 2-2 and 3-3 as a result.

For Liverpool, it’s important that they don’t suffer consecutive defeats in the Premier League before the international break.
