Consecutive away defeats to Stoke and Liverpool had Arsenal supporters calling for Arsene Wenger’s head again, although the north London side have since embarked on a seven-match unbeaten run which includes six wins and a draw.

Impressive stuff on the surface although five of these victories came on home soil and were against Bournemouth, Koln, Doncaster, West Brom and Brighton.

Away from home, there was a goalless draw at Stamford Bridge (probably the best performance of the season) and a win away to BATE in the Europa League.

Therefore, this unbeaten streak is not too outstanding and the Gunners won’t find things easy at Vicarage Road as they search for a first away win of the season in the Premier League. It’s a surprise that the online bookies make Arsenal such strong favourites.

Stoke and Liverpool beat Arsenal in different ways. The Potters defended solidly and took their chance when it arose. Liverpool simply tore into their opponents who were unable to deal with the onslaught and conceded in various ways.

Watford are looking a decent side under Marco Silva and their relegation odds have taken a walk following a return of twelve points from their seven matches played.

Strangely, ten of the Hornets’ twelve points have come on the road, although they have faced Liverpool and Manchester City at home, the latter of whom dished out a 6-0 thrashing which is the only time Watford have been outclassed this term.

Silva has his team playing well and Abdoulaye Doucoure has been a revelation in the middle of the park, scrapping it out and scoring no less than three goals, with Richarlison also bidding to score for the third game running.

While Arsenal are in better nick at the moment, Shkodran Mustafi will be missing after incurring an injury for Germany, while the team are over reliant on Alexis Sanchez and Watford will surely place him under special measures.
