It hasn’t really paid to oppose Watford this season, with the Hornets having taken something from five of their six matches to date.

Quique Flores’ team’s only defeat came at Manchester City, with the boys in yellow having kept three consecutive clean sheets at home, drawing 0-0 with West Brom and Southampton before a 1-0 win over Swansea.

These opponents are all tough nuts to crack and Boylesports dangle 31/20 that Watford claim a third victory on the bounce against a Palace side who have lost their last two matches, although it doesn’t get much tougher than Manchester City at home and Tottenham away.

Both matches were lost by a single goal and Alan Pardew will be keen to get on the front foot in this game, with BetVictor offering 21/10 that the Eagles land the spoils in front of the Sky cameras.

It will be a cagey encounter, with both team’s defences look pretty robust this season and Palace will be aiming to end this clean sheet run of Watford’s which has set them up nicely for the remainder of the season.

Palace wiped the floor with Charlton in the Capital One Cup during the week and Dwight Gayle might have played his way into starting this match after a hat-trick.

Bakary Sako has been a hit since arriving from Wolves and 888sport go 19/2 about the winger-cum-forward breaking the deadlock, while a Palace win to nil can be backed at 17/4 with BetVictor.

The visitors have already landed victories away to Chelsea and Norwich this season, with Pardew boasting an excellent record on the road and he will hope that Yohan Cabaye can propel Palace forward after some excellent performances in midfield from the Frenchman thus far.
