There’s actually not a lot wrong at West Ham United despite the fact that they sit eighteenth in the Premier League table.

The Hammers have been shooting themselves in the foot for much of the campaign, with the east London side failing to close the game out at Selhurst Park recently and the same thing happened at Turf Moor when Andy Carroll inexplicably got himself sent off.

As the owners have suggested, this is a decent squad of players and they haven’t been beaten on the road since August, with West Ham probably glad to be away from the London Stadium for this match.

David Moyes will want his team to be positive in their bid to pull away from the drop zone, with Marko Arnautovic, Andy Carroll and Diafra Sakho aiming to show that they are worthy of a starting place.

Moyes will insist that all of his players have a clean slate to stake their claim for a place in the first team and it’s Andre Ayew who has looked particularly bright for the Hammers in recent weeks.

Watford were getting lots of plaudits a few weeks ago although they’ve only won once at home this season and the last three games have seen them snatch defeats from the jaws of victory.

There are clearly defensive issues in the ranks and there has been no clean sheet in the past seven matches, with the Hornets playing attractive football but not yet demonstrating their clinical prowess.

We’ll go for the visiting team to enjoy a victory and also back the in-form Andre Ayew to find the net first.
