Chris Hughton must feel a touch of regret that his side only have eight points from eight games played this season.

Brighton had the chance to put Watford to bed when the Hornets were down to ten men only to draw 0-0. They also took a late lead against Everton last Sunday before the Toffees equalised from the spot.

The Seagulls have struggled on the road thus far, scoring just one goal in four away games and three have ended in defeat.

They offered little in away games at Arsenal and Leicester, while the Sussex team took the lead at Bournemouth only to lose 2-1.

Therefore, West Ham will be confident of climbing the table on Friday night, having played five of their eight games on the road so far.

Of the three matches played at home, two have ended in victory, with Huddersfield and Swansea beaten without conceding a goal.

Andy Carroll might be suspended for this clash, although there are other dangerous attacking players such as Marko Arnautovic, Michail Antonio and Javier Hernandez.

Against the Terriers and the Swans, Slaven Bilic’s side were made to wait for the breakthrough until late in the game and the same thing could happen here.

Rather than bet on West Ham to win at odds-on, we’re happy to have a bet on the draw at half-time and the home side to be leading come the final whistle.

BetVictor free bet have attractive odds of 4/1 about this happening, while we’re also happy to take the 1-0 and 2-0 scorelines which have been the outcomes of their two home victories.

Brighton won’t be ambitious but they’re also too good to be broken down on several occasions.
