Sheffield United were pre-season favourites to win League One although they rarely looked like challenging Bristol City, Preston and MK Dons at the top of the table.

Nigel Clough is under pressure to get the Blades into the Championship although too many dropped points at Bramall Lane saw United win just ten of their twenty-three home games and they look too short to win this play-off first leg encounter.

The likes of Gillingham, Barnsley and Rochdale won more home matches this term and Swindon will not be adopting a defensive approach for this first leg, with Mark Cooper’s side having won eleven times on the road this term.

No win in the past five matches might have alarm bells ringing but the Robins have had little to play for in recent weeks, with a comeback against Leyton Orient on Sunday boosting confidence levels even if it means Tyrell Belford will be suspended for this clash.

The Blades are also without a win in five and have been struggling to score goals all season, with three consecutive 1-1 score lines the pre-cursor to the play-offs. Perhaps a similar scoreline is on the cards here.
