Wycombe looked to be heading to Wembley when leading 3-0 at Home Park with five minutes remaining on Saturday, although late goals from Zak Ansah and Jason Banton have thrown Plymouth a big play-off lifeline.

Indeed, the Pilgrims will feel they have the momentum going into the second leg despite losing 3-2 at home, with Argyle looking down and out before a late finale.

Plymouth certainly have little to lose from having a pop at Wanderers, with John Sheridan’s side having scored at least twice in their last three matches and knowing they will probably need to score twice to stand any chance of reaching the League Two play-off final.

As for Wycombe, they would have taken the 3-2 scoreline before the match although the Chairboys are vulnerable in front of their own fans as six home defeats this season will testify.

Both teams have scored in four of their past six matches and we’re likely to see both teams go on the attack in this game, with Wycombe not adept at shutting up shop in games.
