Coventry City are surprisingly looking for a new manager after longtime boss Mark Robins was sacked on Thursday, with the club struggling in 17^th in the Championship and only out of the relegation zone on goal difference. 

The surprise is that Robins had been in charge since 2017 and had brought the team up through from League Two all the way to the Championship playoff final to get to the Premier League just 18 months ago. 

Now the best betting sites have priced up the market for who might replace the stalwart, with a number of big names linked as the market opened. The likes of England interim manager Lee Carsley, former West Ham, Everton and Manchester United boss David Moyes and Chelsea legend Frank Lampard are all towards the top of the market, along with some veteran Championship managers. Could Lee Carsley Be Ready For Club Management?

Frank Lampard Could be Championship-Ready

Frank Lampard started his managerial career at Derby County in the Championship, so he is no stranger to the league, and he has been linked with many vacancies since leaving Chelsea in 2023 by numerous football betting sites. Would David Moyes Step Down to Championship?

David Moyes made his name as a manager in the lower leagues with his success at Preston North End. However, since he took on the Everton job in 2002, he has not managed outside of the any top division, mainly the Premier League with a one-year spell at Real Sociedad as well.

Alex Neil a Proven Championship Name

Coventry could also look towards a slightly smaller name in search of someone who knows their way around the Championship, and that is certainly Alex Neil.
