Each selection is advised as a single bet, and at a straight £10 win single per horse, unless otherwise stated.

Tip 1 - 1:50 Cheltenham - King Turgeon

King Turgeon looks like a different horse after a break and a wind op over the summer, winning easily at Chepstow and then over the Grand National fences at Aintree. He was raised 8lb for his win last time out, but he stayed on well to spread the field, so he looked like good value for the victory and might still be ahead of the handicapper.

Tip 2 - 2:25 Cheltenham - Shakem Up’arry

When last seen at Aintree, Shakem Up’arry disappointed, but he has never been seen to best effect around those fences. However, back at Prestbury Park, he should be in his element. Winner over course and distance last two times here, he has previous form winning when fresh and should be in good shape here if the yard’s form is anything to go by. Just two out of the last 13 runners have failed to finish outside the top three, with four winners in that stretch.

Tip 3 - 3:00 Cheltenham - Iceo Madrik

We’ve already seen one French raider win a Cheltenham Cross Country race this season, when Sweet David romped to victory at the November Meeting. Much like his compatriot that day, Iceo Madrik races from well out of the handicap but is fancied to make a big impression on his UK debut. He was impressive last time out at Compiegne over a similar trip on heavy ground, so conditions today should suit perfectly.

What Are the Average Advised Odds of Our Tips?

We tip a minimum of 3 horses per day across the UK and Irish racing and the average starting price of our selections is a remarkable 4/1 over hundred and hundreds of tips this year.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?

We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.

A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time. 

For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).
