League One provides us with our televised Monday evening match, Bradford hosting MK Dons in front of the Sky Sports 1 cameras.
Bradford have had a decent season in League One, however their undoubted highlight so far has been their 4-2 triumph over Chelsea in the FA Cup fourth round last month.
Indeed, the FA Cup may detract from Bradford’s main goal, that being promotion to the Championship at the end of the season and a win over MK Dons would lift the side to sixth in the league table.
The Bantams have been slowly climbing up the league table following an inconsistent start to the season. January returned just one draw and two defeats however and last weekend’s 2-2 at Port Vale will need to be improved upon should City wish to claim themselves a position in the top six.
Nevertheless, Bradford have failed to win since late December and they will struggle to return to winning ways against a MK Dons side which have scored nine goals in their last four matches and boast the division’s second tightest defence.
The Dons are unbeaten in the league since late December and have been banging in the goals. With 59 league goals this season, they are easily the top scorers in the division and should easily find a way past a home defence which hasn’t been the tightest around in recent months.
Bamidele Alli has been prolific in front of goal for the Dons with 12 goals this season. The midfielder will be eager to add to his tally with an entry on the scoresheet tonight and represents decent value at 4/1 with Coral.
This looks set to be a thrilling match between two attack-minded teams and we wouldn’t be surprise to see goals for both teams.
