Celtic v Inter Milan betting tips – Home advantage will count for nothing against Inter

Ronny Deila believes that a home win is possible

Memories of the European Cup final of 1967 will almost certainly be promonent when Celtic face Inter in the last 32 round of the Europa League.

Celtic lifted the European Cup before any other British side following a 2-1 win over tonight’s opponents, however the Parkhead crowd won’t be enjoying a similar result in the east end of Glasgow this evening.

These two sides have met twice in 1972 and both games ended with a 0-0 stalemate with the Italian side going through to the cup final on penalties on that occasion.

It’s fairly certain that we will see some goals this time around with Hoops boss Ronny Deila making it clear that his side will be attack-minded tonight.

“We always attack, so nothing is changing. Why should we do that?” Deila said.

“We are at home. We are attacking but we haven’t conceded a goal so I think that is a very good way to protect yourself.

“We will be ourselves but we will know their weaknesses and strengths.”

It must be remembered that Celtic have lost all of their previous four matches against Italian opposition and with eight goals conceded during those games, a similar outcome may be on the cards tonight.

Indeed, Inter went through the group stages of the competition unbeaten with just two goals conceded in the six matches, and despite the Hoops boss making his attacking intentions clear, we don’t expect Celtic to be finding the back of the net at any point of tonight’s match.
