Chelsea will be eager to maintain their seven point lead at the top of the Premier League table by defeating an under-par Toffees side on Wednesday evening.
Manchester City’s slip-up against Hull City at the weekend has seen Chelsea’s lead extend to seven points and Mourinho’s side are now a step closer to the title, however there is still no room for complacency and a solid display will be the order of the day at Stamford Bridge for this midweek clash with Everton.
Chelsea are as yet unbeaten at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League this season, however they will be without the services of Diego Costa on this occasion and will be short of firepower up front.
The Toffees are unbeaten in their last four outings, however they are struggling to find the back of the net and have failed to score in all but two of their last five games. Nevertheless, they are seven points above the relegation zone and Martinez will be hopeful of salvaging something from this poor season. A win against Chelsea would be a tremendous way to do that.
Chelsea are on a 19-match unbeaten run in the Premier League and it is extremely unlikely that this will come to an end tomorrow evening, however we’re expecting a rather low-scoring match considering that both sides are lacking firepower somewhat, therefore we’ll be backing under 2.5 goals at 11/10 with Paddy Power.
In the absence of Costa, Eden Hazard will be pushed into an attacking position and he looks excellent value at 8/5 with BetVictor to score at any point of the match.
