The international break is over once again and Premier League leaders Chelsea will be looking to continue where they finished off.
Chelsea remain undefeated in this season’s race to the Premier League title and they look set to continue their winning ways when they host a West Brom side who sit just four points above the relegation places.
Mourinho has turned his side into an unbeatable force and it is hard to imagine anyone catching them at the top of the table, even at this early stage of proceedings.
Indeed, their closest rivals Southampton sit a mere four points behind the leaders, however it remains questionable whether they can maintain this position as we rapidly approach the middle part of the season.
Chelsea’s main threat remains Manchester City, however they have suffered a slight dip in form lately and Mourinho will see this match as a chance to open up ground between Chelsea and City, eight points already separating the two sides.
West Brom certainly won’t be relishing the trip to Stamford Bridge, having struggled of late in the league. They come into this match on the back of a 2-0 home defeat to an in-form Newcastle United side and won’t be in confident spirits when they travel to West London on Saturday, a fact very much reflected across the bookies with Coral offering 14/1 for an away win, a Chelsea victory pretty unbackable at 1/4 with BetVictor and a draw up for grabs at 11/2 with the same firm.
This could prove to be an extremely one-sided affair and a host of Chelsea stars could get their names on the scoresheet, however Diego Costa is set to make the starting line-up and it’s hard to look any further than the Spanish international when it comes to the opening scorer, 888sport offering 27/10 for Costa to break the deadlock at Stamford Bridge.
With West Brom struggling for goals lately, we feel that the Chelsea rearguard will have little problem containing the West Brom attack, a win-to-nil looking banker material at just short of evens at BetVictor.
