You can place a maximum of £5 at these odds of 6/1

Back Faugheen at 6/1 for the Christmas Hurdle thanks to Coral's price boost

Faugheen is a National Hunt superstar in the making, with the Irish raider around the 2/5 mark to win the Christmas Hurdle on 26 December.

However, thanks to Coral’s latest price boost, you can back this talented horse at 6/1 to beat the likes of Irvine and Sign Of A Victory.

Back Faugheen at odds of 6/1

You can place a maximum of £5 at these odds of 6/1 meaning a potential profit of £30 should Faugheen oblige and Willie Mullins is certainly confident that one of his star horses can deliver on Boxing Day.

Jockey Ruby Walsh is also sweet on his chances, with the horse currently favourite to win next year’s Champion Hurdle.

“He won the Grade One novice over two miles at Punchestown last year and dropping in trip won’t be an issue. We think he’s a good bit straighter and has improved for his run at Ascot but he’ll need to have,” Walsh told Racing UK.

“Irving was very good in the Fighting Fifth and has course form around Kempton and Faugheen will have to be a good bit more forward than he was at Ascot to beat him in his back yard.

“As we saw at the weekend Paul Nicholls’ horses are absolutely flying and he will be a tough nut to crack but if we have aspirations about Faugheen being a Champion Hurdle horse – to beat The New One, Jezki and Hurricane Fly down the line – he’ll have to be accounting for Irving.”

All odds were correct at time of posting.
