Coventry City v Swindon Town betting tips – Back a Robins win at the Ricoh

Andy Williams can help the Robins to a win in the Midlands

Swindon are a team in form at the moment and can continue their free-scoring ways against League One strugglers Coventry City this evening.

The Robins will be in high spirits heading up to Coventry’s Ricoh Arena tonight following some excellent results of late. Indeed, they have suffered just one defeat in their last nine league outings and should prove too strong for the home side.

Swindon manager Mark Cooper will be confident that his side can clinch the points which could see a return to the top of the table, a mere three points separating Swindon from leaders Bristol City. Indeed, victory in the Midlands would send Swindon some six points clear of third placed MK Dons and with 14 triumphs so far this season, we’ll be backing the Wiltshire side to claim a maximum points haul tonight at generous odds of 11/8.

The Robins have been in top form away from home, winning seven on their travels and Coventry will hold little fear for them. They were held to a 2-2 draw by Fleetwood in their last away match, however their three previous road trips returned no less than nine goals in total and we feel that this can easily be added to tonight.

Steven Pressley is having a tough time at Coventry, his side managing a mere four home wins so far this season. The Sky Blues are just about getting by on limited resources and Pressley can perhaps be congratulated for keeping them four clear of the relegation zone as things stand.

Nevertheless a win or even a draw against an in-form Swindon side looks to be a tall order although they will be in confident mood following a 2-0 win at Walsall’s Bescot Stadium last week, a result which lifted them further from the drop zone. Nevertheless, the Sky Blues have failed to register back-to-back wins this season and we feel that they won’t be remedying this situation tonight.

Andy Williams has been Swindon’s top scorer with fifteen goals to his name this term. With seven goals coming in his last seven appearances, we feel that he is worth consideration on the Anytime Goalscorer market.
