Doncaster v Notts County betting tips – Dons will dominate this mid-table clash

Abdul Razak could make his Keepmoat debut tonight

An extremely close League One table could provide an opportunity for either Doncaster Rovers or Notts County to escape their mid-table position and rise to a play-off place tonight.

Inconsistency has been the key-word for both of these teams this season and they sit level on points in the middle of the League One table coming into this clash.

Indeed, the hosts will be in high spirits following their 1-0 victory over local rivals Barnsley last weekend and they will confident of victory against a Notts County side who have failed to clinch a league win on the road since mid-November.

Nevertheless, Notts County’s last visit to the Keepmoat resulted in a 1-0 Football League Trophy win in early December and a tight match is very much expected this time around, although it is the hosts who start as firm favourites to clinch full points on this occasion at best odds of 5/6 with BetVictor.

We’re finding it hard to accept why the home side are priced at these rather stingy odds and as such, we’ll be sidestepping this betting option and looking elsewhere for some decent value, which leads us to the Total Goals Over/Under market.

All but two of Doncaster’s last twelve outings have involved less than 2.5 goals and with Notts County hardly scoring for fun, we’ll be taking this option and backing less than 2.5 goals in this match.

The home side might feature new signing Abdul Razak should the former Manchester City midfielder receive the required international clearance in time and manager Paul Dickov will have no major injury worries ahead of this match.

Curtis Main will be the man to watch, the striker joint top-scorer for Rovers alongside Nathan Tyson and we’ll be backing him to score his seventh goal of the season in this match at odds of 5/1 with Betfred, Tyson up for grabs at 11/2 with the same firm to score anytime.

This looks set to be an extremely tight encounter, however we feel that it will end with three points for the home side.
