Leicester City v Liverpool betting tips – Low scoring affair in prospect

Will it be back-to-back wins for the Reds?

Liverpool managed to stop their decline with a win against Stoke at the weekend. Can they make it two on the trot at Leicester on Tuesday?

Leicester are in dreadful form right now and Liverpool have a good chance to make it two on the bounce when they clash with a Foxes side which has failed to register a single victory since their dramatic 5-3 win over Manchester United back in mid September.

Liverpool are firm favourites to win the maximum points on Tuesday at Evens with Betfred, however we’re having problems finding the enthusiasm to back Liverpool with any confidence this season and we’re going to have to look elsewhere to find some value in this encounter.

The Reds managed a decent win at home to Stoke on Saturday, however this has failed to convince us that their season is back on track. They can indeed win on Tuesday, however there are some more appealing prices to be had in other betting markets on this game.

With Rickie Lambert replacing the disappointing Mario Balotelli in Liverpool’s starting eleven, the England player has been delivering the goods for Brendan Rodgers. The Stoke crossbar prevented him from scoring in three successive games this weekend, however he will be extremely capable of getting his name onto the scoresheet at the King Power Stadium, 888sport offering 24/13 for him to score anytime and 5/1 for him to open the scoring.

With both sides desperate to avoid defeat on Tuesday, no-one will be taking any risks and as such a scoreline of less than 2.5 goals looks an enticing prospect, such an outcome up for grabs at odds of Evens at Paddy Power.

Leicester managed to get on the scoresheet twice at Loftus Road at the weekend, however QPR possess the leakiest defence in the top flight this term and the Foxes will struggle to repeat that feat against Liverpool. In fact, Leicester failed to score in all but one of their previous seven outings and with Liverpool looking to keep things extremely tight at the back, the home fans won’t be enjoying seeing the back of the visitors’ net bulge on Tuesday.
