Peter Odemwingie looking to score for the third game running.

Three of our four players scored last week and we’re backing Wilfried Bony and Jordon Mutch for Saturday’s games

Many of us like a First Goalscorer bet on the weekend football and we’ve picked out a quartet of players that look great value to break the deadlock in their respective matches on Saturday.

Southampton v Newcastle United
You obviously can’t back a Magpies player on this market considering they are completely toothless at the moment, although Southampton have scored six goals in their past two games and we’re backing Jay Rodriguez to continue his excellent season.

The forward has scored in each of his past three matches and looks worth backing at odds of 5/1, especially as bet365 offer unlimited places on each-way First Goalscorer bets. He’s not completely out of the running to be on the plane to Brazil this summer.

PICK: Jay Rodriguez @ 5/1 with bet365

Stoke City v Hull City
We’re not going to deviate from one of the favourites on this market either, with Peter Odemwingie always possessing the talent to score goals in the Premier League although the Nigerian’s spell at West Brom turned sour and he never really got going at Cardiff.

Mark Hughes now has the player at Stoke and he’s scored in the Potters’ past two matches, with odds of 13/2 available that the player continues to thrive in his partnership with Peter Crouch and breaks the deadlock.

PICK: Peter Odemwingie @ 13/2 with Coral

Swansea City v Norwich City
We’re a favourite backer again and Wilfried Bony is more than capable of finding the net against a Canaries side who aren’t great away from Carrow Road, with the Ivorian having broken the deadlock at the Emirates on Tuesday.

Bony has scored in each of his past two matches following his goal at Goodison Park, with Michu back to help the Swans kick clear of trouble and also help his strike partner with an assist or two.

PICK: Wilfried Bony @ 9/2 with Ladbrokes

West Brom v Cardiff City
He scored twice against Liverpool and is set to be deployed in an attacking position at The Hawthorns, with the midfielder looking overpriced at 18/1 to score the first goal of this match, especially as West Brom are yet to win a home game under Pepe Mel.

Mutch looked dangerous against one of the best teams in the land and is preferred over the strikers for each respective club, with Fraizer Campbell half the price for the Bluebirds, while it’s hard to be confident about the chances of any Baggies forward.

PICK: Jordon Mutch @ 18/1 with bet365
