Premier League Game Week 4 preview and tips

It’s possible that Manchester United will run up a cricket score at Old Trafford

Arsenal face Manchester City, while Radamel Falcao could make his debut for Manchester United

The Premier League returns this weekend and there are lots of talking points including the possibility of Radamel Falcao lining up in a Manchester United shirt for the first time.

The Red Devils are yet to experience victory in four matches of football this term although Sunday’s match against QPR sees them as massive favourites, while Arsenal v Manchester City on Saturday should be highly entertaining.

Arsenal v Manchester City, Saturday 12.45pm
The Gunners have a new face in the form of Danny Welbeck, with the forward leaving Manchester United on transfer deadline day and he would love to down United’s arch-rivals on his debut.

However, the bookies are prepared to go 2/1 about an Arsenal victory which reflects that Arsene Wenger’s team are not considered serious title contenders after consecutive draws against Everton and Leicester.

Arsenal were not exactly convincing when beating Besiktas in their Champions League play-off and Coral’s 6/4 about a Manchester City win looks pretty attractive.

Manuel Pellegrini’s team lost at home to Stoke a fortnight ago although that was little more than a blip and the combination of Sergio Aguero and Stevan Jovetic should cause problems for a defence which is yet to keep a Premier League clean sheet.

Liverpool v Aston Villa, Saturday 5.15pm
Brendan Rodgers will be wearing a wry smile after the international break saw Daniel Sturridge and Jordan Henderson sustain injuries in training for England.

We might see the pair miss Saturday evening’s clash against an Aston Villa side who have made an unbeaten start to the season, having won at Stoke and claimed a home win against Hull City last time out.

There is little value when it comes to lumping on the home side at odds of 2/7, with Paul Lambert’s team looking robust in defence so far with just one goal conceded in three games.

The draw has to be better value at 11/2 than the home win, with a Villa victory on offer at 12/1 and the visitors will be looking to clamp down on Raheem Sterling who was the architect behind the Reds’ 3-0 win at White Hart Lane.

BETTING TIP: DRAW @ 11/2 with bet365

Manchester United v QPR, Sunday 4pm
The danger with this game is assuming the likes of Rooney, Falcao, Van Persie, Di Maria and Mata will destroy a team who could be Premier League whipping boys this term.

It’s possible that Manchester United will run up a cricket score at Old Trafford although a more likely scenario is that Rangers will give them a scare before Louis van Gaal’s team get over the line.

Based on results to date, there is no reason why United are 2/7 chances even if they have just splurged £300,000 a week to ensure Radamel Falcao in in their squad.

Bet365 will actually give you an odds-on quote about QPR with a two-goal start which is pretty interesting considering that Rio Ferdinand will be marshaling a defence that kept out Sunderland last weekend.

Rangers are a 14/1 chance to follow in the footsteps of Swansea and win at Old Trafford which isn’t beyond the realms of possibility, with Redknapp hoping his team can prey on the nerves of the home team in front of their own supporters.
