Southampton are having problems all of a sudden and this won't change when they welcome Everton to St Mary's on Saturday afternoon.
It all started so well for the Saints as they amassed 26 points from their opening 12 matches, climbing to second place in the Premier League table. Things have turned sour however since then with the side suffering four successive Premier League defeats as well as being knocked out of the Capital One Cup by League One side Sheffield United.
Manager Ronald Koeman will be desperate to steer his side back to success, or at the very least prevent them from losing a sixth consecutive game when they host Everton this weekend. The Saints start this match as favourites at 29/20, surprising perhaps considering their recent form.
Southampton cannot be backed with any confidence whatsoever and while Everton have been inconsistent to say the least, they offer the best value at 9/4 with William Hill.
The Toffees have managed nine points from their last eight matches and are unbeaten in their Europa League matches away from Goodison. A win against QPR earlier in the week gave the side the shot in the arm that they needed and we believe that they are good for three points in this match.
Southampton’s form continues to plummet, while Everton appear to be on the up. We don’t expect this to change on Saturday afternoon.
