Stoke City v Arsenal betting tips – Gunners can get third successive win

The Gunners can maintain their momentum against the Potters on Saturday.

Arsene Wenger has responded well to calls for him to resign by steering his side to back-to-back wins in the Premier League. We expect it to be a hat-trick of wins when they face Stoke on Saturday.

The Gunners have failed to record three successive wins in the top flight as yet this season, however this looks set to change when the Potters host Wenger’s men on Saturday afternoon at the Britannia Stadium.

An excellent victory over Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League was followed up with two successive wins in the Premier League and a win against Stoke could lift the side to fourth in the table should other results go their way.

Stoke’s season is in complete contrast, the Potters coming into this match in low spirits following three consecutive defeats, a dreadful run of form which sees them fall to within three points above the drop zone.

Mark Hughes is a worried man, his side struggling to find goals and a strong Gunners defence will prove a huge obstacle, especially since it has managed to keep the goals out in all but two of Arsenal’s last Premier League outings.

Stoke City enjoyed an excellent but hard-fought 1-0 victory when the sides last met at the Britannia in March, however current form would suggest that this will prove to be a relatively routine win for Arsene Wenger’s side on Saturday.

Alexis Sanchez has been on top form for the visitors, scoring 14 goals to date for the Gunners. We fancy him to get his name on the scoresheet this weekend, Betfred offering standout odds of 7/4 that he scores anytime before the final whistle.

With less than 2.5 goals in all but one of the last four matches between these sides, we expect the trend to continue and will be backing such an outcome at a price of 4/5 with Paddy Power.
