Stoke City v QPR betting tips – Potters will continue their fine form

QPR will be silenced at the Britannia

The Potters are slowly edging up the Premier League table and they will be looking to pile further misery on a relegation-bound Queens Park Rangers side on Saturday afternoon.

Stoke are undefeated in all but one of their last six outings and they will be eager to continue their impressive form following their excellent 4-1 win over Rochdale in the FA Cup  fourth round on Monday evening.

The potters are now in the top half of the table, some ten points adrift of the top five and ten points ahead of the relegation zone. A mid-table finish to the season is looking increasingly likely, however manager Mark Hughes will be confident that his side can make a late push for a European position, however unlikely that would currently seem.

Stoke’s form at the Britannia has been cause for concern however with just four victories from the last ten matches and a total of 12 goals. Nevertheless, this total will almost certainly improve when they come face-to-face with the Premier League’s leakiest defence.

QPR are very much in the relegation fight and indeed are still awaiting their first win of the year. Harry Redknapp remains positive that his side will avoid a return to the Championship, however we can’t share this optimism and believe that the pressure will be heightened this weekend.

Rangers haven’t been in action for two weeks and will be eager to return to action with a positive result, however with Redknapp’s own future looking very much in doubt, the signs aren’t too good down at Loftus Road.

The reverse fixture earlier in the season threw up an entertaining 2-2 draw, however given QPR’s dreadful away form we can’t see any repeat of this result.

Indeed, Stoke should find this relatively easy going and with the visitors managing just two goals in their last five outings, the Potters could easily be keeping a clean sheet on Saturday.

Peter Crouch scored in the reverse fixture and he represents decent value at 13/8 with Bet365 to repeat this feat at the weekend.
