Liverpool haven’t been bankers away from home all season. Eight wins from fifteen games on the road isn’t too clever for a team regularly odds-on and that’s the case for Saturday’s game at The Hawthorns.

Last Sunday’s FA Cup semi-final defeat against Aston Villa wasn’t a hard luck story. The Reds were simply beaten by a better team and the same thing could happen when they face up to a West Brom side who went and won 2-0 at Selhurst Park last weekend.

Tony Pulis’ side now look safe after that win and they can relax a little against a side who have missed out on a Champions League spot this term and questions have been asked over whether Brendan Rodgers is the man to continue steering the ship.

Ironically, this was the fixture where it all began for Rodgers and a 3-0 defeat to the Baggies. With a 4-1 hiding from Arsenal fresh in the memory for the Liverpool players, we can’t resist going against the Reds and think that a bet on West Brom is worth having.

Pulis will want his players to put on a show, while Steven Gerrard’s final few games for Liverpool has turned into a non-event, with an FA Cup hangover likely to see a subdued performance, especially with Raheem Sterling considering his options in the summer and Daniel Sturridge a non-starter.
