After forty-six games played, there was just a point between the Bantams and the Lions, with the two sides now competing in the League One play-offs for a chance to play in a Wembley final against Walsall or Barnsley.

The first game takes place on Sunday where Bradford will look to continue their amazing home form which has seen Phil Parkinson’s team win their previous seven encounters at Valley Parade.

This has included a 4-0 battering of Walsall although 1-0 has been a preferred scoreline and that included a slender win over Millwall in March with Steve Davies scoring a late goal. The reverse fixture was a goalless draw at The Den.

This clash could follow a similar pattern, with no quarter likely to be given in a high stakes game with both teams holding serious ambitions about getting out of the division and back to where they feel is a rightful spot.

Millwall have certainly built up a head of steam in recent weeks, winning their past four clashes even if Mahlon Romeo’s red card at Gillingham last weekend means that the defender is suspended for this first leg match.

Neil Harris will want his team to keep things tight and they have avoided defeat in seventeen of their twenty-three away matches this season.

Lee Gregory has made a timely end-of-season return although it might not be until the second game that he makes his presence felt.
