Eleven games played, eleven goals scored and eleven conceded. It’s clear that Brighton are basing their Premier League survival attempt on keeping things tight and it’s a gameplan which is working.

The Seagulls have fifteen points and this match represents an opportunity for Chris Hughton’s side to continue stockpiling points before a potentially cruel winter when promoted teams often tail off.

Since losing at home to Manchester City in their opening game, Brighton have won two and drawn two. It would have been even better if they hadn’t conceded late against Everton but it’s still a good record.

The Sussex team are unbeaten in their last four, with Glenn Murray having scored three goals in his past two matches, while Shane Duffy and Lewis Dunk continue to earn rave reviews for their performances in defence.

However, the real star of the team is the work ethic and togetherness which could see them over the line against a Stoke team who have lost three of their five games on the road this term.

You know what you’ll get from the Potters in this clash. Keeping things tight and hoping to capitalise from a set piece as they did when Darren Fletcher scored from a corner at Watford to seal all three points.

Xherdan Shaqiri remains a class act and scored a great goal against Leicester a fortnight ago, although it’s a question of whether they can scrap hard enough against Brighton and we think the home side could just edge this one.
