Arsenal have wiped the floor with Chelsea and Basel in the past few days, although they face a different type of assignment when they head to deepest Lancashire on Sunday afternoon.

Burnley were promoted back to the Premier League last season and Sean Dyche has steered his team to 13th in the table after accruing seven points including home wins against Liverpool and Watford.

Indeed, the Clarets are unbeaten at Turf Moor this season and Robert Snodgrass’ late free-kick is the only occasion where keeper Tom Heaton has been beaten. Therefore, the away win looks less of a banker than the odds suggest.

Arsenal have been in the groove recently and they triumphed 4-1 at Hull in their last away game, while the Gunners also claimed a 3-1 victory at Watford earlier this season although it’s worth noting that Petr Cech produced some inspired saves to keep the scoreline looking comprehensive.

Theo Walcott is earning rave reviews for some belatedly bright performances, with Alexis Sanchez operating well in tandem with the England winger and Mesut Ozil can pull the strings from tight corners.

However, this will be a test for Arsenal and the games have been coming thick and fast recently including Champions League clashes against PSG and Basel. Burnley have no such worries and didn’t even have further participation in the League Cup to trouble them.

While Andre Gray sits out the match through an FA ban, Johann Berg Gudmundsson can make himself a nuisance alongside Sam Vokes and there’s also the buoyant Steven Defour who is proving to be a shrewd signing.

Therefore, we’ll have a little dabble on the home win although backing Burnley on the Draw No Bet or the Handicap market are slightly safer options.
