Betting Tip: Capisci @ 5/2 with bet365

Jonjo O’Neill’s Worthy Award is fancied to go well in the 2m7f handicap chase under Richie McLernon and the same jockey/trainer combo are represented by Strongly Suggested (7/2) in the Daily Racing Tips @ Handicap Chase (2.50pm). He has claims on his best form but hasn’t shown that for a while and CAPISCI is preferred. He hasn’t been seen out since winning by 17-lengths at Huntingdon last August, which was just reward for a couple of previous runner-up finishes, and therefore has his fitness to prove. However, his small stable is in good form with a couple of winners (13/2 & 25/1) from just a handful of runners in the last fortnight, and his jockey Robert Dunne is showing a £1 level-stakes profit of over £40 on all his rides at the track. Take bet365’s 5/2 as he’s as short as 7/4 elsewhere.

The ten-year-old needs only to run within a couple of pounds of his best form to land this given there are question marks over his rivals. Sportsreport is much higher in the weights following a couple of heavy-ground wins at Lingfield during the winter, while Topthorn is a whopping 21lb higher than when winning here in October. Imperial Plan is the youngest of the lot at five and almost certainly has his best days ahead of him for his up-and-coming trainer Jamie Snowden, so he is feared most.
