Betting Tip: Chilworth Icon @ SP with bet365

I like following sprinters who reappear within seven days of their last run as there’s always a good reason for the quick reappearance, and significantly Mick Channon is turning CHILWORTH ICON out again in the track’s Directors Cup just four days after his run at York. The five-year-old finished 10th of the 20 runners on the Knavesmire but, given the bunched finish, was a whisker or two away from the places and he would have finished closer still had he not completely missed the break. That was uncharacteristic and he deserves a another chance with Charles Bishop taking over from a 7lb claimer. He won’t mind the recent rain either as his last win, off a 3lb higher mark than today’s, came on soft ground. At 20/1 with Betfair at the time of writing, he’s an each-way price.
