Tottenham were sucker-punched in their first Champions League clash as Monaco scored two early goals before hanging on to claim three precious points in Group E.

It means that there is added pressure on Tuesday’s clash in Russia, a country which is traditionally a difficult place to visit due to the distance travelled and the hostile conditions faced by visiting teams.

Spurs also head east without Harry Kane although there is confidence coursing through the team after a sublime performance at the Riverside Stadium on Saturday which saw them win 2-1.

Indeed, Tottenham have found the net in every match this season and we can expect the same to happen at the newly-opened Arena CSKA, although whether they can get a victory is more open to question.

Moscow are a decent team who recovered from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 away to Bayer Leverkusen and they have enjoyed an unbeaten start to the campaign.

The only home matches played have CSKA win 3-0 against Terek Grozny before a 1-1 draw against Krasnodar.

We’re expecting goals to be scored in this clash after both teams’ opening games featured three and four respectively. Both sides will be eyeing a win and it should make for an open clash.
