A point is likely to be enough for England to win Group B although Roy Hodgson will want to leave little to chance against Slovakia.

After all, a draw could open the door for Wales to beat Russia and wind up finishing top of the section which would give them a potentially easy last sixteen clash instead.

Roy Hodgson was walking on cloud nine after Daniel Sturridge and Jamie Vardy found their scoring touch pretty quickly after arriving as half-time subs against Wales. Now they are both gunning for a starting place against Slovakia.

The Slovaks opened with a reverse at the hands of Wales before beating Russia by a 2-1 scoreline and they are potentially dangerous opponents, especially with Marek Hamsik operating in midfield.

However, they are defensively vulnerable and their need to win the game should allow England to rove forward and expose gaps in the defence, with Sturridge potentially able to fill his boots if he replaces Harry Kane in attack.

The Three Lions defence would love to keep a clean sheet, with Gary Cahill and Chris Smalling acquitting themselves well thus far, with England to win 2-0 and 3-0 looking like a smart enough bet.

A solid victory would give the Three Lions plenty of confidence having accrued seven points before a potential clash against Northern Ireland in the last sixteen.
