We’ve got a Friday night treat in the form of Premier League football this week, with Everton looking to bounce back from that 1-0 defeat at Bournemouth which was their worst display of the season to date.

Ronald Koeman was especially annoyed by the slow first-half performance against the Cherries and he’ll have his team revved up from the off against Crystal Palace, although the odds about a home win are a touch skinny.

Everton might have beaten Stoke and Middlesbrough in their previous two home games, although the Eagles are sturdier opponents and the London side come into this game off the back of a 3-2 win at Sunderland.

Alan Pardew’s side actually trailed 2-0 in that game before claiming the points and it is clear that they are weaker defensively without the injured Scott Dann, with the scouser continuing to be sidelined.

It all points to a profitable evening for Romelu Lukaku who has enjoyed four goals already this season in a short space of time, with the Belgian plundering a hat-trick against Sunderland and then getting the faintest of touches on the ball against Middlesbrough.

Lukaku should be given lots of opportunities from a supporting cast featuring Yannick Bolasie, a player who was on the Palace books until Everton swooped to spend big money on the speedy winger.
