Betting Tip: Scotland @ 1/1 with bet365

Scotland made hard work of beating Georgia last autumn although Gordon Strachan’s team are probably an improved outfit eleven months on and they can claim three vital points in this Euro 2016 qualifier.

With Germany and Poland facing each other in Frankfurt, this is an ideal opportunity to get into the reckoning for automatic promotion, with the Germans then coming to Hampden Park next week to play in front of a full house.

It’s been nearly three months since Scotland’s last competitive clash, with the Tartan Army well satisfied with a 1-1 draw in Dublin which keeps them on course for a minimum third place in the group.

Even money seems like a fair price about the Scots beating Georgia considering their opponents have lost five of their six matches thus far, with Poland scoring four times in this fixture before the Germans managed two goals.

A slender victory looks to be on the cards considering there’s a lack of distinct firepower in this squad, with Chris Martin potentially being selected ahead of Fletcher and Naismith considering the Derby man has scored a couple of goals this season.

This is a Scotland team who are greater than the sum of their parts and their team spirit should carry them to some kind of scrappy victory, with James Morrison and Matt Ritchie capable of providing the necessary creativity.
